“Music Power” is the supercharged sophomore single from UK duo Kid Gloves, aka Freeform Five and the Freelance Hellrasier. By day, they write and produce for some of the best and brightest in UK pop. Once the lights go out, however, it’s club time! Straight to the speakers we go…

Kid Gloves’ Fool’s Gold debut “Bare Knuckle” was a slice of infectious, cut-n-paste disco house that immediately zoomed into Beatport’s Indie Dance / Nu Disco Top 10 for weeks (and rightfully so!) “Music Power” keeps that same energy and funnels it into one funky-ass, rock em sock em robot of a tune, filled with disembodied vocal samples, joy buzzers, and all manner of industrial grooves for the ravers. Dub Police don D1 flips it into an even bigger bass jam, as only he can.

B-side “Below The Belt” is a sonic sibling to “Bare Knuckle” and it’s joyous loops: seven-minutes and twenty-seconds of stretched out dancefloor joy. This summer club must-have comes remixed by Golden Bug (Gomma / Bang Gang) in full on house mode. Lace up your boxing gloves and your dancing shoes, it’s time to party.
