about
“You Are My Religion Now” was written last June as a tongue-in-cheek ode to love, limerence and cult-like figures. Sometimes you want someone so bad that you would surrender yourself to them, and it feels like the most romantic thing you can do. Sometimes obsession can overheat and become overly inscribed, banal and nearly sexless. This was the last song we wrote for the EP, and honestly almost didn’t make the cut. But when we asked our friend Kai (Swordes) to add some guest vocals and dropped in a fuzzy Korg Ms-10 bassline, it all clicked into place and became one of our favorites.
